....

hi chickens.

i just got home from my whirlwind exhausting stint in San Diego. sorry i didnt get to spend more quality time with you guys. i was a little flustered to say the least. if nothing else, i got to be home for a quick second, see the sun, and visit the ocean. it was quite nice, i can't tell y'all how much i value my ocean time these days... living in the mountains is amazing, right now its sooo beautiful, but if i have to choose i think its the coast. too ingrained into my psyche...

update on the philandering sister-kisser... i got an email from him the second i got in this AM. he says:::
"have found the perfect gift -- it's totally exclusive, totally New York and totally hard to get. So you'll have to wait a little while longer till I get my ass to the part of town where it is. But, hopefully, it will be worth the wait."

hmm. well he's promising greatness, we'll see if he follows through. call me dumb, but i think he will. for some crazy reason i have faith in this guy. speaking of, just to complete the story, i cut and paste the email i sent him below....
enjoy.

Dearest Mr. Finger,

I was just going to drop you a note to tell you how good it was to spend some quality time with you last week as well. My sister also sends her regards. Since I'm not sure how much you remember of your dealings with the "trouble girls" from Thursday night, just in case, let me refresh your memory. Somehow you ended up making out with not only one, but both of us. Which we discovered, in astonishment, after your convenient exit.

As I, for some reason, still have faith in your moral capabilities, I believe that you can let your gentlemanly traits shine through with a sincere apology to both of us. I have provided both my address below for your reference, and will be following up shortly with my sisters'. We'd prefer written apologies, and additional gifts such as flowers, would be appreciated as well.

I will be sure to get you your white Hop Up Kit when it is available.

All my best,

Miss Randall

ps. I think I see some great possibility for scandalous headlines in TW's Yellow Snow or on Sacklunch.com regarding your philandering escapades. Should I put together a pitch for my editorial friends?

pps. I hope your girlfriend enjoys the glasses.

Alex Returns!!!

holy mother of Crist. Alex has requested to participate in blogging activities. i am trying to remember how to add her on as a user--may take me a bit, so for now, he'res her first post. enjoy.

hello all, my name is alex and i'm your sister/cousin. i miss you all gravely and i can't wait until the wedding to see your splendidly divine faces. anyway i asked liz if i could once again become a part of the blogging thing because i feel disconnected from my roots. anyway, as you may have heard liz had a divine time in new york, jam packed with fancy dinners, drinks, and crazy people. i had more fun with you lizzy than i have had in a while - i've been very stressed out lately because i lead a very hectic life, and a little down home sister time was what the psychiatrist ordered. lisa i haven't heard anything about your life lately, and i feel horribly bad. please let me know what is going down. and i thank you for keeping natalie sane. hehe just joking natalie. anyway my life is pretty routine nowadays, i just go to class, then to my internship, or to work then i come home and maybe drink a beer and pass the heck out. pretty much i hate men, but that's so cliche nowadays so lets just say i'm relationshipally challanged. that's all thats going on with me, so tell me my sweet family what is truly going on with you. natty??? lisa??? heathy???? liz??? i know the basics but want to know the details. love all you muffins,
alexandra

what up.

hey Nat. jesus--i must be out of the loop! maybe i should get into babysitting--cause i would have had no clue that $180 was no bueno. i was on the chairlift recently chatting with some lady from out of town--she was nice enough--whatever. then her daughter who was sitting next to her started whining about something--and she turned and looked at me and asked if i babysat. i was like, uh, no. i was thinking "i'd probably throttle your kid with in the first hour..." definiteyl not babysitter material am i.

and, dont feel bad about the boy thing, he's a little out of your age range. but i will be keeping my ears open for you, considering you will be back down on the homefront soon...

Lis, sorry we got interupted right as i was about to spill the goods (on the aforemetioned boy). call me when you have a chance and i'll give you the juicy details. i'm probably building up too much hype at this point, but again, he could have potential.

i was lucky enough to have Easter brunch this morning with my friend Summer and her family, and now i'm off to another friends gethering. i'm a little frazzled right now--i am leaving for New York tomorrow, havent packed, need to close up the house, drop off the cats at the hotel, water the plants etc., all by early afternoon tomorrow. oh yeah, and that whole work thing kinda interferes too... the good thing about going to NYC is that starting tomorrow i get to expense everything, which is fortunate considering my check account is bouncing right now--ack. i'm screwed. had to pay taxes and car insurance and for a busted tail light (that i didnt even do!!!grr.) crappity crap--just have to make it til Thursday...

wish me luck.
xoxo,

hola.

what up chickens? i'm just back from being in Colorado for a bit--there was a Snow Industry Conference--the snow sucked, but still good times. got to hang out with my OG Transworld crew, which was a nice change....

so, Lis, any further developments on cute boy? i have a very eligible nice boy at home in SD who is looking for nice girls to date. i dont know him terribly well, but as far as i can tell (and have been told by others), he could definitely be a catch. let me know if you're at all interetsed. if not, i totally understand. how is your plant? alive/dead? i promise i will be posting pics soon--i've been procrastinating since there hasnt been much exciting evidence... but everything seems to be roaring into full gear--maybe if it gets sunny in the next few days i'll shoot some photos.

i had a big epiphany this last week. i decided that i now, officially, have a timeline. unless opportunities arise and throw the plan into hyper-speed mode, as of March 1, 2005, Hailey, Idaho's cutest house goes up for sale and i'm high-tailing it back to California. if i live in the house for 2 years i get a huge tax break on the money i make from the sale of the house. so i figure i can wait. i will enjoy my summer (and garden) here, stick out another 11 months in this place, get more experience, and wait it out. so, yeah. if it comes up with my boss before then, we'll discuss--maybe i'll pitch the SoCal office in a year thing and see how it goes.... i dunno.

and Lisa, no worries. welcome to my existence. all solo all the time. sometimes it sucks--like when i need a door rehung, or the trash taken out, but usually its not so bad. i do worry that i've been on my own program for so long that no one will ever be able to stand living with me (or vice versa)... we shall see.

hope to see you all if at least for a moment in a few weeks--i'll be home the week of the 18th--will be working most of the time, but hope to steal off in the nite... i'll keep y'all updated.

xoxo,
.liz
