hey guys.

how goes it? i have been battling a cold for the whole week--am very over it at the moment. Nat, no worries on the parental time--you'll get sick of them when you're ready, and you'll move out. no biggie. might as well spend time while youre into it. are you guys back from PV yet? how was the boat class Lis?

i am definitely going to post some pics of my gardening dorkiness, i'll let you guys know when i do. it'll probably be a while since things are just now starting to come to life. the tulips and iris though should be in force within a few weeks. again, nothing exciting, i've been sacked out in front of the tv for the last week. Nat, at least you're interacting with humans, i've mainly been having conversations with the cats... sweet. :)

(and the difference between Post and Post/Publish, is with the second one, it actually posts it to the site. with Post, it just kinda saves it to that edit page, but just holds it there til you publish.)

hey kidlets, i dont really have much to say cause i actually talked to everyone over the last day or two. yay!

for all concerned, my first batch of seeds made it safely into their tupperware greenhouses--keep your fingers crossed! i have another round of Sweet Peas soaking on the windowsill waiting to be transplanted tonite... dorky, i know!!! i figure if i'm going to stay sane being here, throwing myself into my garden will help. i find it very therapuetic. i've already been spending money on seeds and bulbs and such, and i cant even really plant anything for at least a month or more! jumping the gun a little.

anyways, thats it for now.

my lovely morning....

so, just thought i'd tell you guys a fun little story. i got up this morning and got ready for work. i put on a cute outfit--pink cords, new cute white shirt, vintage beaded sweater, new sassy pointy-toe white boots, and my favorite white 80's-ski-style jacket. i actually left the house on time--i've been really bad about being late recently--and went to the coffeshop. as i'm walking across the street i watch this woman gingerly slide her way across the street in her Uggs. i made a mental note that she was overreacting and cruised onward into the shop. got my cappucino and banana bread and trotted back out across the street... whaam! next thing i knew i hit ass-and-elbow-first onto the icy street, in the process pouring coffee all down my front and flinging banana bread and sunglasses awry. i picked myself up, scurried back to my car--realizing that my entire outfit was covered in some sort of coffee spill. so pissed. i drove back home--upon storming into the house, the cats immediately know to make themselves scarce--and stripped all my clothing and stuffed it in the washing machine. sweet. good way to start the day huh? anyways, i wish i had a video of that--i'm sure it would be good for future laughs. oh yeah--so then i was 20 minutes late to work. whee!!!
